A native of Los Angeles, Steve studied classical piano in Santa Monica until 1973, when he moved to Toronto and furthered his studies in music and arranging. Steve’s career has been a juggling act between the studio, concert halls, theater and clubs. Performance highlights include Etta James, Petula Clark, Bobby Vinton, Little Anthony, Joan Rivers, Emmylou Harris, David Clayton Thomas and TV appearances with Donny Osmond, Chet Atkins and the 2005 Jerry Lewis Telethon in Beverly Hills.

Some of the shows Steve has conducted and played on include Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Joseph (with Donny Osmond), Blood Brothers (with David Cassidy), Tommy, Rent, The Lion King, Billy Elliot and Wicked. Steve worked with Colm Wilkinson as his musical director/arranger for 12 years and in March 2009 took part in a birthday celebration for the late Ted Kennedy at the Kenney Center in Washington DC, conducting the Washington National Orchestra with President Obama in the audience.
